Work With Me
In addition to my self-paced online program, I also work directly with teams, organizations, and individuals who want to bring visual thinking into their world.
Over the past decade I've taught visual thinking to thousands of learners, and more recently I've been bringing those skills to groups that already have a connection with each other, from accountants and small-business owners to scientists in the field of bionics to a group of dedicated change and project managers.
That work has been incredibly rewarding, and I'd love to do more of it.
Here are the ways we can work together.
Visual Thinking Workshops for Teams
Your team already knows how to talk through ideas. What they might not know is how to sketch through them.
In these workshops I introduce visual thinking as a practical tool for learning, problem-solving, and communication. Participants don't need any drawing experience. We start with simple marks and build from there.
By the end of the session, every participant will have created a visual model of a topic that's relevant to their work, and they'll have a process they can continue using long after the workshop ends.
I offer virtual trainings, ranging from a focused 90-minute session to a full-day deep dive. Each workshop is tailored to the needs of your group.
Who this is for: Team leads, L&D departments, facilitators, and anyone who brings groups together to think through complex challenges.

Process Visualization for Coaches and Consultants
If you're a coach, consultant, or facilitator, there's a good chance you guide your clients through a process that lives mostly in your head. You can explain it in conversation. You can walk someone through it step by step. But you might not yet have a visual model of that process — one that your clients can see, reference, and return to.
That's what this service is about.
We'll work together over a series of sessions to take the journey you guide your clients through and turn it into a clear, hand-sketched visual model. The result is an asset you can use in your own client work for years to come — something that closes the gap between what you know and what your clients can see.
Who this is for: Coaches, consultants, and facilitators who guide clients through a repeatable process and want to add a visual element for extra clarity.
"I loved the creative collaboration in working with Doug to add a visual flow to the journey I use with my consulting clients. The work we did helped me refine and improve the steps of my process as well as bring in visual elements to better support client understanding." — Marcia Chadly
Visual Book Summaries (Commissioned)
If you've spent time on my YouTube channel, you've seen the visual book summaries I create — hand-sketched models that capture the key ideas from a book, paired with a video walkthrough.
I now offer that same process as a commissioned service.
If you're an author, publisher, or organization whose work centers around a particular book, I can create a visual summary that brings those ideas to life in a way that text alone can't. The deliverable is a hand-sketched visual model and an accompanying video — a unique asset you can share with your audience as a promotional tool, a teaching aid, or both.
Who this is for: Authors looking for a fresh way to promote their book, publishers seeking supplementary content, and organizations that use a specific book as a foundation for their work.
Speaking and Guest Sessions
I love showing up as a guest — on podcasts, at summits, and within professional communities — to share the world of visual thinking with new audiences. Whether it's a live workshop, a keynote, or a panel conversation, I bring the same energy and teaching approach that you'll find on my YouTube channel.
A few topics I regularly speak on: the three shifts required to become a visual thinker, how visual models bridge the gap between what you know and what others can see, and how to use sketching as a sense-making tool in your personal and professional life. I'm also happy to tailor a session to fit the theme of your event.
Who this is for: Podcast hosts, conference organizers, summit planners, and professional communities looking to bring visual thinking into their event.
"Doug was one of our speakers who got the most clicks on our registration page of anyone. And he also took the initiative to schedule some extra live sessions with me during the summit that were really such a value add for our attendees." — Gretchen Wegner
"It was a pleasure to have Doug Neill as a guest on my podcast, Sustainable Ambition. He's a pro both in knowing visual thinking and in his ability to speak and teach others in its practice." — Kathy Oneto
